Taxi Driver is probably the film that both De Niro and Scorsese are best known for. Capturing the bleak underbelly of New York in a way no other film really does, De Niro delivers a sensational performance as the disaffected Travis. This POP! captures him as he embarks on his violent rage against first a presidential candidate (thwarted) and then the pimps and gang running the young prostitute Iris. Brilliant!!
