Formula Silverstone

Fancy yourself as the new Lewis Hamilton or Jenson button? Well this may well be the experience to start you on your way! Single seaters are designed to give you the most realistic experience of driving a F1 car, sitting just a couple of inches off the ground there is a great sense of speed that will have you smiling.

Silverstone's bespoke, race-prepared cars produce 140bhp and can accelerate from 0-60mph in less than five seconds. But that's only half the story. The astonishing handling ability will shatter your senses as you speed through the corners following a session behind a pace car to get you into the groove.

After a driving techniques briefing from one of Silverstone's top race school instructors, you will be ready to head off for a few laps behind a pace car. This is where you can quickly familiarise yourself with the car before being let loose to see what you can do. Be warned, driving these cars are seriously addictive and you will definitely want to come back for more!

When can you go?
This activity runs on selected dates, throughout the year. Valid until 1st December 2012.

How long does this activity last?
Your experience will last approximately 1 hour.

You need to know:

• The minimum age for this experience is 18 years old.
• There is a maximum weight is 102kg (16 stone).
• The minimum height is 1.57m (5ft 2in) and the maximum height is 1.93m (6ft 4in).
• Participants need to have held a full manual driving licence for at least 1 year. This must be presented on the day.
• This is for a voucher entitling the holder to any of the activities supplied by Activity Superstore up to the value stated.

You and how many others?
It will just be you in the car, however there will be other cars on the track at the same time.

Family and friends
You're welcome to bring family and friends along to watch you race. Restrictions may apply.
