Audrey Hepburn stars in this story of a sales girl to model transformation. Jo Stockton (Hepburn) a sales girl at a book store is captured on film accidentally at a photo shoot, and the photographer Dick Avery (Fred Astaire) is immediately taken with her look. Dick and magazine editor Maggie Prescott (Kay Thompson) are so intrigued they offer Jo a modelling contract.
