Sparky's Magic Piano
9,49 €

This is a tale of an 8 year-old boy who simply hates to practice the piano.
Sparky is a normal boy, very playful and sometimes mischievous, preferring adventure and play to homework and household chores. And, like all small boys, Sparky simply hates to practice his piano, banging away on the chords in frustration and playing all the wrong notes, much to the annoyance of his exasperated teacher. But Sparky's piano is different. This old-fashioned upright, dusty and scratched and largely neglected, can actually talk; his chords, suddenly, one day, taking on a human voice in order to communicate with his wayward pupil.
It promises to show Sparky what it is really like to play the piano well, to play Chopin and Beethoven, and all he has to do is run his hands over the keys and the piano will play anything he wishes, even the most complicated of classical pieces.
With his piano's help, Sparky is hailed as a new musical genius, much to the surprise and amazement of everyone, and concerts are booked across the country as an amazing journey begins, with Sparky the centre of attention, both as a sought after soloist and with the backing of a full symphony orchestra.
Before long though, as befitting a temperamental, increasingly arrogant young artists and his star struck family, trouble looms and Sparky finally has to account for his bad behaviour...and during the most important concert of his career.
Featuring music by Chopin, Beethoven, Listz, Schumann, Mozart and Rachmananinoff. Performed by the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra.
This wonderful family animation is a joy to watch and an inspiration to all budding pianists, young and old alike.
