Tucker the old Shetland Pony, Franny the wise goat, Lightning the dozy hound, Reggie the bird-brained rooster and a deranged big-city pelican called Goose quickly become his friends.
As he grows up, Stripes dreams of becoming a race-horse, and to take on the thoroughbred race-horses next door. With the help of his friends his dream becomes a reality, and Stripes is entered into the biggest race event of the year. Can Stripes prove himself...will he be able to earn his racing stripes?
