A young boy Mac finds himself on an adventure of a lifetime when he befriends a mystical creature, the friendly water giant Mee-Shee. When young Mac is forced to join his father at a remote Canadian lake he is intrigued by stories of a mystical creature living in the lake, Mac sets out on a mission to Mee-Shee, the notoriious Water Giant, and prove that there is more to the myth than just a legend.

Mac makes a wondeful new friend in Mee-Shee and soon makes it his mission to protect Mee-Shee from the evil oil-drillers who want to destroy the only hom Mee-Shee has ever known. Desperate to protect his friend, Mac finally turns to the one person he didn't think he could count on to help...his father.
