When a young newlywed couple acquire an antique brooch and buy an old abandoned house its not long before they come into contact with "Mae Nak", a figure of horror and despair from one of Thailand's most enduring ghost legends.

After first protecting the young couple it quickly comes apparent that she expects a terrible favour in return. When Mak is incapacitated it is up to his bride to find a way to contact the Ghost of Mae Nak in order to release him from her grip.
