This dramatic masterpiece, split into three segments, focuses on a close group of friends from a small industrial town and how the Vietnam War has affected their lives and the lives of the people around them. This movie won 5 Oscars including Best Director for Michael Cimino, Best Supporting Actor for Christopher Walken and saw Robert De Niro nominated yet again for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
