Faced with a group of highly influential and charismatic men, Pandit Nehru, Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Mahatma Gandhi he must formulate a plan for Partition which is agreeable to all parties.
Within a year Mountbatten achieves the impossible. As midnight strikes on 15 August 1947 there are jubilant celebrations throughout the territory.
