Following the great success of The Goat Rodeo Sessions album (88697891862), The Goat Rodeo Sessions Live on DVD and Blu-Ray brings cellist Yo-Yo Ma, fiddler Stuart Duncan, bassist Edgar Meyer and mandolinist Chris Thile together for a one-night-only concert that was filmed at the House of Blues in Boston in January 2012. The four string virtuosos were joined by guest vocalist, Aoife O’Donovan.
The album has been a huge success internationally, and is Yo-Yo Ma’s fastest-selling album, with over 200,000 units sold to date globally, and it was announced on 27th April that it was the winner of the Songlines Magazine Award for ‘Cross Cultural Collaboration’, with coverage appearing in The Guardian and on Reuters TV, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 3, amongst others.
