Gregory Peck stars as a US Ambassador who's wife gives birth to a stillborn child. Convinced by a priest to take a baby who's mother died in childbirth. As the years pass and the child grows up his father slowly realises there may be more to the child than he first thought. Indeed that he may in fact be the spawn of Satan and decisive action needs to be taken.
